Version Confirmation Method:

To confirm the sensor's version, use the IV-M30 or IV-Navigator.
If the version is R4.01.04, there is no need to perform the update.

・Using the IV-M30 to confirm the version
  1. Connect the sensor.
  2. Turn on the menu display on the operating screen, and then tap [Sensor Setup].
  3. Tap [Sensor Advanced Settings].
  4. Tap [System] and then tap [Sensor Information].
・Using IV-Navigator to confirm the version
  1. Connect the sensor, and then start IV-Navigator.
  2. Click [Advanced Settings] on the main screen.
  3. Click the [Sensor Information] tab.
Items to Prepare:

To update the sensor, use the IV-M30 or IV-Navigator.

  • Using the IV-M30 to perform the update

    IV-M30 that can connect to the sensor
    USB memory

  • Using IV-Navigator to perform the update

    PC that can connect to the sensor and on which IV-Navigator is installed

Notes:

  • Do not turn the device off during the update process.
    Also, do not disconnect cables between devices or remove the USB memory. Doing so may lead to malfunctions.

  • After the update is complete, all the setting data and image history data on the sensor will be deleted.
    Back up all the required setting data and image history data to a USB memory or a PC in advance.
    After the update is complete, the setting data can be transmitted back to the sensor to restore the original settings.

How to Perform the Update:
1. Download the update file.
  1. Create a new folder on the hard disk.
  2. Click [Download] on the download site. The [File Download] dialog box will be displayed.
  3. 点击【保存】。【另存为】对话框会说played.
  4. Specify the folder created in (1) as the [Save Location], and then click [Save]. The update file is downloaded.
  5. Double-click the downloaded update file, and a dialog box for inputting a destination folder opens. Click [Browse], specify the folder created earlier, and then click [OK].
  6. Click [Decompression] to start the extraction.
  7. When the file is successfully extracted, the following file is created within the specified folder. Depending on the PC settings, the extension may not be displayed.
    • IV_SENSOR_UPDATE.BIN
2-A. Update the sensor.

(Using the IV-M30 to perform the update)

  1. Copy the created file to the USB memory.
    • Connect the USB memory to the PC and open the drive of the USB memory.
    • Copy the created file (IV_SENSOR_UPDATE.BIN) to the root folder of the USB memory. The root folder is the first folder opened when the USB memory is accessed. If the USB memory is the E drive, the folder is “E:\.”
    • Remove the USB memory from the PC.
  2. Connect the sensor and the IV-M30.
  3. Connect the USB memory to the IV-M30.
  4. Turn on the menu display on the operating screen, and then tap [Sensor Setup]. Stop operation.
  5. Tap [Sensor Advanced Settings].
  6. Tap [System] and then tap [Update Sensor].
  7. Check the current version number displayed on the screen against the new version number.
  8. If there are no problems, tap [OK].
  9. A confirmation screen is displayed. If there are no problems, tap [OK]. The update will begin.
  10. When the update complete screen is displayed, the update process is complete. Remove the USB memory, and then tap [OK].
2-B. Update the sensor.

(Using IV-Navigator to perform the update)

  1. Connect the sensor and the PC, and then start IV-Navigator.
  2. Stop operation and display the [Setting Processing] main screen.
  3. Click [Advanced Settings].
  4. Click the [Initialize / update] tab, and then click [Update Sensor].
  5. On the [Open File] screen, select the created file (IV_SENSOR_UPDATE.BIN), and then click [Open].
  6. Check the current version number displayed on the screen against the new version number.
  7. 如果没有问题,click [Yes].
  8. A confirmation screen is displayed. If there are no problems, click [OK]. The update will begin.
  9. When the update complete screen is displayed, the update process is complete. Click [OK] to close the screen.
3. Check the version number.

If version R4.01.04 is displayed, the update has been completed successfully.
